While many head to Northern Peru to explore Amazon rainforests or hike Andean mountain ranges, the dramatic northern coast is a wonder in its own right.
Here you can find sparsely-populated sandy beaches, great surf waves, abundant marine life and delicious seafood. All the ingredients for a perfect beach holiday.
A few days at a chosen beach-side hotel is an ideal way to begin or end your northern Peru visit, so let us organise the accommodation and transport. We even include a half-day tour of either whale-watching or swimming with turtles (depending on the season).
All you have to do is slap on the sunscreen and decide which seafood to have for lunch! (NB. Other dietary options are available!!)
Pacific Beach Break: 4-Day Itinerary Outline:
Day 1: Arrive Talara Airport. Transfer to Vichayito. Overnight in Vichayito.
Day 2: Whale-Watching or Snorkelling with Turtles Tour. Overnight in Vichayito.
Day 3: Free Day. Optional Half-Day Fishing Trip. Overnight in Vichayito.
Day 4: Transfer to Talara Airport.

Itinerary
Northern Peru Pacific Beach 4-DAY Itinerary:
NB. Shorter & longer itineraries can be arranged, to suit your timeframe.
Day 1: Talara - Mancora or Vichayito
You will be collected from Talara airport upon arrival, or from your Talara hotel, and then driven to your selected hotel in Mancora or Vichayito, in a private vehicle.
NB. Pick-up can also be arranged from Piura or Tumbes Airport.
Choose from hotel pool or Pacific Ocean.
The journey time is roughly an hour and a half, travelling north up the PanAmerican Highway, through Peru's coastal desert.
Once settled in to your beachside accommodation, you have free time to explore and use the hotel facilities.
Overnight at Aranwa Vichayito, or similar.

Day 2: Organos: Whale Watching or Sea Turtles Snorkelling Tour
Today you have a half day tour to enjoy some of Peru's rich Pacific marine life. The details of the tour depending on the time of year.
Mid-July - mid-October: Humpback Whale Watching.
This morning, we pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Los Organos, where you board a leisure boat. You then sail to Cabo Blanco, in search of humpback whales.
These whales arrive along the north coast of Peru, from Antarctic waters, to breed and raise their calves.
If you are lucky, you will spot these magnificent marine mammals breaching, whereby they throw two-thirds or more of their bodies out of the water and splash down on their backs.
Mid-October - mid-July: Sea Turtles Snorkelling Tour
The isolated pier at El Ñuro where the sea turtles congregate.
This morning, we pick you up from your hotel and drive you to El Ñuro Beach, just south of Organos, where you can interact with the naturally-curious sea turtles, who are attracted by the scraps of seafood dropped by the returning fishing boats.
You can observe them from the pier, or get into the water with them, for closer interaction. An unforgettable experience.
At the end of either tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel where you have a free afternoon to enjoy the sun, and the beaches around your hotel.
Overnight at Aranwa Vichayito, or similar.
Meals included: Breakfast.
Horse riding along Vichayito beach.
Day 3: Mancora or Vichayito: Free Day
You have the whole day to chill out in and around your hotel; or try your hand at some of the many water sports available.
A sedate horse ride along the beach is another nice way to spend an hour or so.
Optional: Marine Coastal Tour: a half-day fishing trip, in Pacific waters, which includes the on-board preparation of what you catch into ceviche - Peru's signature dish of raw fish marinated in citrus and chilli, and garnished with sweet corn and sweet potato.
Overnight at Aranwa Vichayito, or similar.

Day 4: Mancora - Talara
After having breakfast at the hotel, a transportation service will transfer you back to Talara (or Piura or Tumbes), to catch a return flight ... or spend more time in northern Peru.
