Daniella & Liam, two twenty-somethings from London, Ontario booked PeruNorth’s 4-day Arequipa & Colca Canyon itinerary for April 2024.
The hotels used were Tierra Viva Arequipa Plaza & Casa Andina Standard Colca.
They had a private half-day tour of central Arequipa on foot and then a shared two-day visit to Colca.

“The Santa Catalina Convent was one of our favourite cultural destinations. The art was so beautiful, as well as the views.

It was so interesting to learn about the history of Arequipa.

Our favourite natural destination definitely had to be the Cross of the Condor, where we were lucky to see multiple majestic condors, they flew very close to the lookouts.

We were lucky enough to see a condor stand roughly 5 meters away from us. It was incredible.

The views were spectacular. Witnessing the multiple volcanoes and vegetation was incredible.

Our guides were so friendly and amazing. Henry gave us a personalized tour the first day, Henry went in so much depth about Arequipa's history and made us feel very welcome.

Flor was very kind and did an amazing job providing a bilingual service for the Colca Canyon.

Both accommodations we stayed at were very nice.

Our favourite drink was the Arequipenazo, from Zig Zag [restaurant]. The combination of chicha, passion fruit juice and Pisco was just perfect.

The transportation used were vans and these felt safe.

Our favourite natural encounters were the condors, vicunas, guanacos, alpacas and the bulls on the street.
